Course Bands WANTED!
Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon is looking for local bands of all genres to play on the Half Marathon course! 20,000 runners will run to the beat of your drum, and 60,000+ spectators will dance and cheer along. This is a nationally and locally televised event and is a chance for your band to get great exposure and gain new fans! 16th Annual Verizon Wireless
American Music Festival
With your race entry, you will receive FREE entry into all Verizon Wireless American Music Festival concerts throughout the weekend. The 16th Anniversary Festival will take place Friday, September 4th through Sunday, September 6th with over 40 bands rockin' the oceanfront.
While strolling down the picturesque boardwalk, stop to take in some of the groovy tunes at one of several free stages set up along the beach. To see any of the ticketed concerts taking place on the 5th Street Beach Stage over the weekend, simply show your race number at the gate. *You will not have to surrender your number.*

When you purchase an extra concert ticket for your family and friends, you will receive a commemorative Passport Pin. The Passport Pin will allow entry into the Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon post-race concert AS WELL AS all concerts at the Verizon Wireless American Music Festival.
Passport Pins are available online until August 30th. Children 12 and under are free.
Spirit on the Course Competition
800 local cheerleaders will line the course to cheer on each runner from start to finish! With all this energy runners are sure to finish with some pep in their step.
The Spirit on the Course competition awards the top three most spirited teams with cash prizes. Teams are judged based on creativity, participation, and enthusiasm. First place receives $1000, second $750 and third place $500.
