How to Register
Registering is easy! You may register for Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon any of the following ways:
Please enter only once. If you fax or register online, do not mail a hard copy. Do not send multiple faxes or online entries.

Corral Changes
All corral changes will be handled at the Health & Fitness Expo. To change your corral, please pick up your race number and proceed to the Corral Change Booth in the Packet Pick-up Area of the Expo. You do NOT need to change your corral if you would like to enter a slower/later corral. You will only need to change your corral if you are moving up or going faster.
Packet Pick-Up
All runners must pick up their bib number and ChronoTrack Timing Tag at the Health & Fitness Expo. The Health & Fitness Expo will be held Friday and Saturday, August 29th and August 30th at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.
You Must Pick Up Your Own Race Packet:
Due to heightened security issues, you must pick up your own race packet and race number at the Expo prior to the race. Under no circumstances will race numbers and packets be given to family, friends or anyone other than participants themselves. No exceptions will be made.
State of the art ChronoTrack systems will be used to record participants’ times at the start, at certain splits along the courses and at the finish. The ChronoTrack system uses a UHF RFID disposable tag, called a D Tag, which allows you to walk away from the finish without the need to have your tag collected.
The ChronoTrack timing tag (D Tag) will be attached to your race bib. The D Tag will be labeled with a number that matches your race number. When you pick up your bib, please make sure these numbers match, and also verify that YOUR name is printed on the bib you are issued*. Proceed to the Solutions Table if any of the information is incorrect.
Prior to the race, you must remove the tag from your number and attach it to your shoe. Please follow the instructions provided in your registration packet.
PLEASE NOTE: All participants in this race must wear the ChronoTrack timing tag on your shoe in order to have their times recorded. ChampionChip timing equipment will NOT be used at this race; ChampionChip timing chips will NOT record your time. New for 2008: ChronoTrack Timing

You will receive your turn time from start to finish line. The ChronoTrack system uses a UHF RFID disposable tag that allows you to walk away after the finish without the need to have yoru tag collected. Live Web Results are available on the race website, where family and friends may track your progress during the race. Unofficial results will be listed minutes after you finish.

Requirements:
- You must be able to complete the 13.1-mile course in 4 hours.
- You must be at least 12 years of age.
- You must be in good health and physically prepared to take on the challenge of a half marathon.
- Family and friends are not permitted to pick up your race number. No Exceptions.
- You must show a photo ID to pick up your race number and chip.
- Race numbers are required to participate - NO BANDITS!
- No coaches, skateboards, baby joggers, bikes, dogs or inline skates will be allowed on the course.
Cancellation Policies
Entry fees are non-refundable and entries are non-transferable. Sorry, no exceptions. This means once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate and you will not be able to give or sell your number to anyone else. Registrations will not be transferred to the following year or another event.
If you registered and cannot participate, we will be happy to ship you a T-shirt from the 2008 race. Please send a written request to rnrvb@eliteracing.com with your cancellation and include your name, street address, phone number and T-shirt size. T-shirts will be mailed out approximately 6-8 weeks after the event.
* If you are unable to participate in the 2008 race, cancellation requests must be made by 10/31/08.
Age Groups
Awards will be given out the top 4-6 people in each age group for both males and females. Awards will be mailed approximately three weeks after the event.
